Caribbean Women are colorful and diverse, and come from complicated influences, African cultures and indigenous peoples, European colonialism, and the unique character of places separated by water.and are the expression of the talent and the immense zest for life of the Caribbean people.

Raise a son, and you will raise a man, raise a girl and you will raise a nation”. A World Bank report underlines the truth of this adage. It shows that increasing female labor market income contributed to a 30 percent reduction in extreme poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean

No celebration of women would be complete without acknowledging the contributions of Caribbean women who have paved the way for women everywhere. The global influence of Caribbean women has been noted in a wide array of areas. While not an exhaustive list, the following women have each demonstrated excellence in her respective field that cannot go unnoticed.

Ever since the old time, women has been treated as a lesser person, but time has changed differently. If a man can lead, we can too. If a man can be a doctor, we can too. If a man can be a lawyer, we can too. Women can make the world go around. Women are not just women. We can be more!

Physiographically, the blessed Caribbean region is mainly a chain of islands surrounding the Caribbean Sea. To the north, the region is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico, the Straits of Florida and the Northern Atlantic Ocean, which lies to the east and northeast. To the south lies the coastline of the continent of South America.
