Surfing is special in a way that almost no other sports can compare with. It engages us in an activity where we are totally connected with the elements – the sea engulfs us and we are at once 99% water inside and 100% surrounded by water outside!

Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer (or two in tandem surfing), uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are primarily found on ocean shores.
