What is matter? It’s not as basic as you’d think. Matter makes up nearly a third of the universe, but is still shrouded in secrets.

A little less than one-third of the universe—around 31 percent—consists of matter. A new calculation confirms that number; astrophysicists have long believed that something other than tangible stuff makes up the majority of our reality. So then, what is matter exactly?

Concerning Matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. Matter is spirit reduced to point of visibility. There is no matter.

Vibration is the rapid, repetitive back-and-forth or side-to-side motion of an object or its particles around an equilibrium (or central) position, acting like a small, fast shake or tremble, crucial in physics for transmitting sound and energy,

Dark matter is entirely invisible, emitting no light or energy, making it undetectable by conventional sensors and detectors.

The reason it is so hard to define is because it’s an abstract notion. In physics, the concept of “energy” is really just a kind of shorthand, a tool to help balance the books. It is always conserved (or converted into mass) so is incredibly useful in working out the results of any kind of physical or chemical process. There is no physical “essence” of energy, and no such thing as “pure energy”. It is always carried by something, usually in the form of movement.

The Universe (Latin: universus) is all of space and time and their contents, including planets, stars, galaxies, and all other forms of matter and energy.

Science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
